The next milestone in the internationalization strategy has successfully been implemented – CYRUS INDIA moves into its own manufacturing and administrative building
CYRUS convincing in India
In 2010 Cyrus India Pvt. was established, a 100% subsidiary of CYRUS Vibration Machines India Pvt. Ltd. from Recklinghausen (Germany). Now it has moved into its own administrative and production building. With this new building CYRUS has created the framework conditions for the company’s further growth on the Indian market.
The new site is located in the industrial centre of Pune in the North West of India. The building housing the administration and production site is equipped with state-of-the-art technology and occupies an impressive 2,000 square metres. Out of this base 20 Indian staff members handle the Indian foundry and steel market and breathe life into the “Made in India” range.
Delighting at the new company headquarters Vikrant Sanglikar, General Manager of CYRUS INDIA, said: “Our parent company’s clear commitment to the Indian market is confirmed by the new, in-house engineering centre and production facilities. Our strengths are our local presence combined with inside knowledge of the Indian foundry and steel market and German manufacturing standards. Local production teamed with world-class quality and substantially shorter delivery times give us a clear lead. We work side by side with our German colleagues. Another key to success is a continuous and compulsory training programme provided by our German colleagues, which spans all areas.”
Menon and Menon Ltd., an Indian producer of automotive components, confirms the successful cooperation and quality of products and employees. In April 2014 two charging machines as well as two shake-out grids with a size of 1.5 m x 4.5 m each were commissioned for charging the 6-ton induction furnace. Another stationary shake-out grid sized 2.0 m x 2.0 m with a trough conveyor for transporting moulding sands also formed part of the order.
“Production of “local content” in accordance with German standards makes for a positive response among our Indian customers. After being represented in India for six years we are now harvesting the fruit of our expansion. Even international projects in the Middle East can be delivered out of our Indian location without foregoing German quality standards.
This puts CYRUS in the unique position to do without external partners and to be in line with the pricing structure of the local market, nevertheless,” sums up Dr. Michael Schulte Strathaus, Managing Director at Cyrus Schwingtechnik GmbH.
